organisation, working in partnership with the settled community.

TNC ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

JOB TITLE: PRIMARY HEALTHCARE COORDINATOR
 (PART TIME – **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE**.5 HOURS PER WEEK)

REPORTING TO: The Project Manager

Based in: TNC Office, Doneraile, County Cork (with travel around North
Cork)

ROLE: OVERALL OBJECTIVE: As part of the TNC health and development
programme, this post will work towards improving the health status
(physical, social and mental wellbeing) of Travellers in North Cork
and ensuring equity of health outcomes for the Traveller Community.

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE POST: The Coordinator will have overall
responsibility for ensuring the development and implementation of a
peer led, Primary Health Care (PHC) Programme for the Traveller
Community in North Cork, from a community development perspective.
This will involve managing and supporting Traveller Community Health
Workers (TCHW’s) to identify and deliver culturally appropriate
health initiatives throughout the area.

JOB TITLE: COMMUNITY HEALTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER

REPORTING TO: The Project Manager

BASED IN: TNC office, Doneraile, County Cork (with travel around North
Cork)

ROLE: To lead our accommodation team in developing appropriate
advocacy and support structures and to network with accommodation
providers, agencies and legal supports to increase access to good
quality, culturally appropriate accommodation.

The post holder will share responsibility (with the other P/T CHDW) in
the development of local Traveller led groups in the five hubs in
North Cork, to build their capacity to participate in the
decision-making, planning, provision and delivery of appropriate
services for their community.

To work in conjunction with the TNC’s staff and Board of Management,
HSE Primary Care Team, Community Works Department, Traveller Health
Unit and other relevant stakeholders and agencies to enable Local
Groups to access information and opportunities that will enable them
to grow and develop.
